Hello, I’m Alys!

My yoga journey began 1999 with Jay Rossi Yoga in Sherwood, Nottingham, I was looking for a way to manage chronic back pain, by strengthening my back and learning to listen to my body and pay attention to my mind, I have found this but also so much more.
After sixteen years of regular practice with Jay I took a short break to raise my family, of course taking the opportunity to practice prenatal, postnatal, and mum & baby yoga! I and then “restarted the conversation” with my own yoga practice during the 2020 pandemic, taking classes online to reconnect with the strength, clarity and calm that was so needed during that time. Following this, I was inspired to complete a 200‑hour teacher training with Siddhi Yoga School, I then qualified as a Cosmic Kids Children’s Yoga Teacher. I have since taught classes at NaMasYoga in Eastwood since 2024, and I have taught both adult and family yoga classes at Decathlon Giltbrook. When I am not teaching yoga, I am also a part time library worker & bookworm, full time mum (and cheer mum!) and beginner karate student.
Yoga has shaped how I use movement, breathwork and mindfulness throughout my adult life, and I love sharing those tools with others. My classes blend breathwork, mindfulness and movement to help you feel stronger, more mobile and more grounded.
Whether you’re looking to ease tension, build strength, improve focus or simply carve out a moment of calm in a busy week, in my class you’ll find a welcoming space to move, reset and reconnect.
