Yoga for Kids

Children of all ages can benefit from Yoga as much as we can as adults. Learning Yoga through stories helps young children to learn about complex emotions. Yoga poses bring joy as well as flexibility, co-ordination and strength. Learning in a shared environment encourages sharing, team building and friendship. Older children and teenagers can shake off feelings of being awkward or anxious and relax in a nurturing environment, learning skills that they can also practice at home, for example pranayama (breathing exercises) and Yoga Nidra to help with sleep.
